HN30B Portable - HN Series Projector

Projector color deviation, including yellowish screen, bluish tint, red/green color cast, and uneven color distribution, is a common problem that affects viewing quality. Long-term use, incorrect parameter adjustment, environmental light influence, and hardware aging may all lead to color deviation. Slight color deviation can be completely corrected through manual setting of projector parameters, while severe color distortion can be optimized by combining environmental adjustment and simple maintenance. Standard and accurate color restoration is crucial for watching movies, concerts, and TV programs, so it is necessary to master professional color correction methods.

The first step to fix color deviation is to restore the projectors factory default color parameters, which solves most color distortion problems caused by incorrect manual adjustment. Most projectors have a "Factory Reset" or "Default Settings" option in the system settings menu. After resetting, all color parameters such as brightness, contrast, saturation, and color temperature will return to the official standard values, eliminating color cast caused by misoperation. After resetting, observe the screen color in a dark environment to confirm whether the color deviation is improved, and then perform fine-tuning on this basis.

Carry out precise manual color parameter calibration according to the actual screen performance. Adjust the color temperature first: a too-high color temperature will make the screen bluish, and a too-low color temperature will make the screen yellowish, so adjust the color temperature to the neutral standard mode. Then fine-tune saturation and hue: excessive saturation leads to exaggerated and distorted colors, while insufficient saturation makes the picture dim and gray, and it is necessary to adjust to a natural and realistic color state. In addition, adjust brightness and contrast reasonably. Excessively high brightness will wash out the picture color, and excessively low contrast will cause blurred color layering, which will aggravate color deviation.

Eliminate external environmental factors that cause color deviation and maintain the projector regularly. Ambient light is a key factor affecting projection color: strong white light will offset the screen color and cause color distortion, so it is recommended to use the projector in a dim environment and match with a professional projection screen to restore true colors. At the same time, regularly clean the projector lens and dust filter. Dust covering the lens will cause uneven light transmission and local color deviation. If the color deviation is still serious after all settings and maintenance, it may be caused by aging of the internal light source or color wheel, and professional after-sales calibration and replacement are required.
